Samsung Galaxy S2 is said to be one of the worlds most sold smart phone. Even though the device is out of the game after the arrivals of Galaxy Note, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, regular software updates and firmwares were rolling out for it. Now the latest Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 is available for Galaxy S2. The update is official and can be updated using Kies and OTA. But we are here with the firmware version thet can be updated using Odin 3.04. The update bring so many features and is up to date as Galaxy S3 and even Galaxy Note 2. The base firmware is I9100XWLS8 and is Jelly Bean 4.1.2.

How to Root
- Extract the downloaded firmware
- Completely Switch off your Galaxy S2 (wait for vibration to confirm switch off)
- Switch on in Download mode by pressing Vol Down + Home Button + Power button
- Run Odin 3.04
- Connect Galaxy S2 to PC
- Now you should see "Added" in ODIN message box
- Click on PDA tab and select *.tar.md5
- Press start button and you will be done within 2 minutes
- When completed Odin will show as Pass.
- Now you mobile will reboot automatically
- Download Samsung Galaxy S / S2 CSC app from the Play Store
- Open Samsung Galaxy S / S2 CSC app
- Tap "Change CSC" button
- Select the CSC for you Country
- Tap "Install" button
