How to root I9100XXDLI7 Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 Galaxy S3 i9300 firmware : i9300 rooting guide

Here comes yet another firmware for Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300, that is I9100XXDLI7. Since Samsung is expected to release official Jelly Bean for S3 in October this firmware will help to check out how Jelly Bean is going to look. This  is a leaked firmware and is to be rooted using Odin. The firmware I9100XXDLI7 for  I9300 Galaxy S3 has released on 13th  of September and is not official. 

Prior to this firmware I9100XXDLI7, we have given rooting guides to I9100XXDLH6. The current firmware is available in sammobile.com also. The download links and rooting guides are given below. The Odin used should be Odin 3.04. The country of release is United Kingdom. Make sure your phone data has back up and the device is fully charged before rooting.

Steps

Download Mode : Home+power+vol down

Recovery Mode : Home+power+vol up

  1. Unzip the firmware zip file downloaded
  2. Run Odin 3.04
  3. Restart phone in download mode
  4. Connect phone to the computer
  5. Add tar.md5 file to PDA
  6. Untick re-partition (check whether it is ticked)
  7. Start flash
  8. Boot into recovery mode
  9. Choose to wipe/factory reset
  10. Reboot

How to root I9300XXBLH4 Jelly Bean 4.1.1 on Galaxy S3 : Rooting Guide

Steps

  • First you will need to download Odin. This is a desktop program that transfers to your phone the files necessary for root.
  • Unzip the file
  • Unzip the rooting zip file
  • Start Odin by clicking the .exe file
  • Click the PDA button abd select the .tar file
  • Put your phone in download mode
  • Connect the phone to your computer
  • Make sure Repartition is NOT checked
  • Click the Start button
  • Wait for the device to boot

Official ICS firmware for Galaxy S3

As Samsung launches another galaxy smart phone, galaxy S3, successor to its most selling model Galaxy S2, its has been stealing the headlines world wide. So has been the rooting news and the Android platform its using. The high priced Galaxy S3 comes with Android IceCream Sandwich. The rooting guide and the latest firmware has already leaked for Galaxy S3.



The firmware download link and the rooting instruction are explained below. Rooting procedure is almost same as that of Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note.

Flashing Steps


1. Download the Firmware : Download

2. Extract the firmware

3. Run the Odin contained in the downloaded Zip or download it from our previous posts

Odin 1.85         Odin 2.25             Odin 3.04

4. Connect the device

5. Press Home + Volume Up + Power switch to put it in recovery mode

6. Wipe data/factory reset and cache.

7. Take the battery and put back

8. Press Home + Volume down + Power to put the device in download mode

9. Click on PDA and select .tar.md5

8. Click start
