Install Android 2.3.5 On Galaxy S i9000 with I9000XXJVS Firmware

Here is the toutorial to update your Galaxy S i9000 to Android 2.3.5

Download the following

Samsung USB Drivers , Download
I9000XXJVS.rar Password - samfirmware.com | Download 228 MB
Odin software Download 

Must do

Make sure that phone is well charged
Back up your pohone contents

Steps

1. Install USB drivers

2. Unzip the main firmware file to get these files

CODE_I9000XXJVS_CL565837_REV03_user_low_ship.tar,

GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVS.tar,
MODEM_I9000XXJVS_REV_00_CL1059471.tar,
s1_odin_20100512.pit,

3. Shut down Samsung Kies

4. Install Odin and run it

5. switch off the device and then Hold Volume down key+ Home button key and press switch of button

7. Connect to USB and You will get the message “Added! !”

8. Make sure that only Re partition, Auto reboot & F. Reset time is marked

9. Put these files  in Odin:

• PIT = s1_odin_20100512.pit,
  PDA = CODE_I9000XXJVS_CL565837_REV03_user_low_ship.tar,
  Phone = MODEM_I9000XXJVS_REV_00_CL1059471.tar,
  CSC = GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVS.tar

10. press  the start button

11. When phone gets restarted disconnect it.
